The Pioneer Oven was considered an efficient clean burning stove when it was first designed and the idea of having an oven warmer integrated into the stove was quite clever. There was never a door on the oven so whilst it was good for warming a casserole it had its limitations. Nowadays there are highly efficient stoves which include ovens with doors.
