Description
Simple, functional, strong and reliable, this is the essential sliding pocket door that brought sliding doors into the 21st century and is widely used throughout the industry for both new build and refurbishments.
Eclisse Single Fire Rated Sliding Door System for FD30 rated doors
Sliding door system designed specifically for your own FD30 30 minute fire rated doors 44 mm thick. You get all the great advantages of the independently tested Eclisse pocket door system and completed with full combined jamb/architrave kit made from a very special hard wood called Pterygota bequertii commonly known as Koto. The jambs are then treated with an intumescent primer and routed out to accept standard 15 x 4 mm intumescent strips that you can find in most builder/timber merchants.
There are three main advantages of using this special wood rather than a cheaper right angled plasterboard profile –
- The projecting corners at the pocket entrance and door post are in wood an not plasterboard and so not easily chipped; they keep their looks over time.
- They allow us to have a wider passage size for the size of the door as the door does not need to protrude into the pocket as much as it would with a plasterboard system.
- The finished wall thickness is still a standard 100 mm. using standard 12.5 mm board.
Fully tested and approved by Cambridge Fire Research (UKAS approved testing authority) and IFC fire consultants Test Certificate Number 148395.
A fully approved self closing system for use only with the Eclisse system is available if needed, see related products on the right of this page. Not all 30 min. fire doors require this closing system, please check first with your Building Inspector.
